This miniature room was a surprise for my daughter's sixteenth birthday. I was equally surprised, as I had never done this kind of work before, every piece designed and made by hand.

In 1982 the head of the Security Council of the United Nations suggested I write a book. His nickname was Dodel. This inspired "Dodel and the Candlepeople". The miniature studio I built became its stage. Dodel can be seen holding a candle. He tells us that Stillnessland is not a place to reach, there is no stairway leading to it, it is a gift we give to ourselves.
